Poland-Germany / Smardzów
Poland to Germany fulfilment: you sell, we handle logistics.
Your stock stays near Wrocław and orders reach German customers. Coverage and terms are confirmed in your quote.

The route
One stock position, two directions across the border.
A single stock position can serve Polish and German orders, so you do not have to split inventory across countries to test a market. A parcel from Poland remains a cross-border shipment, so the delivery promise in your shop should be based on the carrier service used for it.
- Outbound
- Parcels and pallets through carriers selected for your destinations and requirements. Coverage, terms and transit assumptions for your flows are put in writing in the quote.
- Returns
- Handled in Poland under your procedure, once a return path is agreed. How the desk works.
What it means in practice
What to settle before the first parcel to Germany.
Two assumptions are worth setting aside: that a warehouse in Poland behaves exactly like a domestic German one, and that the border is so complicated that everything needs a specialist.

Return paths to plan for.
The way back
Return paths to plan for.
Each option below is a decision to take before go-live, not a standing service. Which one makes sense depends on your product value, return rate and what your shop terms say.
Choose a return path
- How it works
- The customer sends the parcel to our warehouse using the return label your process provides
- Settle first
- Who pays, how the address appears in your terms, which carrier service is used, how the customer wording reads in German
- How it works
- You use your own address or a third party in Germany as a return point, and goods are forwarded to us in batches. We do not operate this address
- Settle first
- Who runs it, how often batches move, and at what point a return counts as received for your refund process
- How it works
- A party you appoint in Germany looks at returns first, and only saleable or disputed goods continue to us
- Settle first
- Who defines the criteria, how results reach your stock record, and who keeps what fails
- How it works
- You refund or replace without asking for the item back. Nothing comes to us, and no stock changes
- Settle first
- The value limit per product group, abuse rules, and what your adviser says about the accounting
These are planning options. Carrier services are confirmed for your flows in the quote. ShipRevo does not run a return point in Germany.
Practical questions before launch
The practical questions are more ordinary. Which delivery promise your shop can realistically make from Poland. What happens to your bulky SKUs that do not fit a parcel service. Where a German customer sends something back, who pays, and when you refund it. Whether your labels, inserts and returns note read properly in German.
We go through these questions with you before a go-live date is agreed, so that the shop, the carrier service and the warehouse tell your customer the same thing.
- Delivery promise based on the carrier service used for your parcels
- Parcel or pallet decided per SKU, from real dimensions and weights
- Return path agreed and tested before the first real return
What stays with you
Three things that stay with you as the seller.
Using us does not change who the seller is. The points below are for orientation, not advice. Please confirm your own situation with a qualified adviser, and read our longer guide to selling from Poland into Germany.
- Tax
VAT and OSS
Sales to German consumers from stock in Poland raise VAT questions you need to answer. The EU One Stop Shop is an optional scheme for such distance sales. Do not rely on the EUR 10,000 threshold if your company is established outside Poland: it covers goods dispatched from your own Member State, so sales from stock held abroad fall outside it. Holding stock here can also raise VAT questions of its own. EU OSS portal.
- Packaging
German packaging rules
The EU packaging regulation has applied since 12 August 2026, alongside the German implementing act. The German Central Agency states that anyone distributing packaged goods in Germany must be registered in LUCID, and foreign sellers may need a German authorised representative. We do not register or license anything for you. Its guidance also addresses fulfilment providers, so whether these duties reach a provider based in Poland, and what we would need to see from you, is one to check with your adviser. Electrical goods and batteries have rules of their own. Central Agency.
- Consumers
Consumer rights
EU consumers buying online can generally withdraw within 14 days without giving a reason, and who pays for the return depends on the reason and on what you told them. Exceptions and national details apply. Terms, refunds and customer contact stay with you. Your Europe.

FAQ
What shipping to Germany costs, and what merchants ask.
What makes up the cost of shipping to Germany?
These lines change most between one merchant and the next, so a quote shows each one separately. Order handling (per order and item): lines per order, packing rules, inserts. Parcel transport (per parcel): size, weight, carrier service, surcharges. Pallet transport (per pallet or consignment): dimensions, weight, delivery location, delivery conditions. Returns handling (per parcel and item): return path chosen, inspection depth. Return transport (per parcel or batch): who pays under your terms, and the option you chose. Materials and inserts (per item used): packaging, language versions, your own or sourced. The quote states which carrier service each assumption is based on. Carrier surcharges are shown as separate lines.
How do you set up shipping to Germany?
Your quote sets out volumes, sizes, end destinations, product restrictions and the return address, because those are what decide the price and the plan. Map the flows: Rough order volumes, parcel and pallet split, weights and dimensions, and where in Germany your customers are. Check the products: Restrictions, fragile or bulky items, lots and expiry dates. Dangerous goods, pharmaceuticals and chilled food are out of scope, and lithium batteries are checked individually. Confirm the carrier services: We select carriers to fit your destinations and requirements, and write what they confirm into the quote as an assumption you can check, including exclusions. Choose the return path: You pick an option, we write it into the returns procedure, and you update your shop terms so that they match. Test both directions: Test orders to German addresses and test returns back to us. Volume starts only after they pass. Proposed method. Actual timing depends on your data, products and carrier services.
How fast do parcels reach Germany?
Transit depends on the carrier service, the destination and the season, so we do not publish general delivery times or commit to next-day delivery. Your quote states what was confirmed for your flows, and the promise in your shop should be based on that.
Do you have a warehouse in Germany?
No. We operate one warehouse in Smardzów near Wrocław. If you need goods or a return point physically in Germany, that has to be arranged separately, and we will say so at the start.
Which carriers do you use?
We select carriers to fit your destinations and requirements once we know your flows. The services proposed for your parcels and pallets are named in your quote, with coverage, terms and any exclusions.
Do you handle customs?
Customs brokerage is not part of our service by default. If some of your goods arrive from or travel to outside the EU, tell us and we will explain what we can and cannot organise before quoting.
Can you take care of VAT or our packaging registration?
No. These remain your responsibility as the merchant. Our guide sets out the questions to take to your adviser.
Does a German customer send returns to Poland?
That is one of the options, and often the simplest to organise. The choice is yours and has to match your shop terms. The return paths on this page set out the alternatives, all of which you would arrange.
Can you handle retailer deliveries in Germany?
We can prepare cartons and pallets to a routing guide if its requirements can be met with our equipment. Send the guide and we will review it before quoting. 3PL and B2B warehousing.
Next step
Tell us what goes to Germany, and where it comes back to.
Volumes, sizes, destinations, product restrictions and your return address give us what we need. Ranges are fine, and asking commits you to nothing.
